Don't be too put off by the initial appearance of the “face” of this T2 Kombi. Yes it has been cut away in an unfinished attempt to convert it to water-cooled. It may even need a new panel to put back to original. However, the rest of the vehicle, being a Right-Hand Drive South African Import is very sound with any rust you can see largely confined to the surface such as on the roof. Chassis is very sound too so no major welding required underneath ☺ Window frames & roof gutters all good.
Vehicle is supplied with a Golf water-cooled engine if you wished to pursue the conversion. Otherwise you will need to source an original air-cooled unit. Interior is quite tidy with some recent black carpeting and high back driver & passenger seats which may be good enough to re-use. With Nova document to aid getting issued with an age related registration by the DVLA. A good, well priced entry into the T2 world.
